You must know how to deflect or parry his powerful blows, otherwise, they will become fatal for you. Fighting against a group of enemies? You must know how to counterattack and knock out them before they turn your body into a pile of crumbled armor and meat. Fighting against very small, but numerous opponents? You must know how to cope with all their tiny stinging attacks and battle anxiety.
Every good traveler, mercenary or hero must be ready to face anything in battle. And anything in his or her life. You will find thousands of thousands of weapons of all kinds and sorts. It will be a pity if you die like a stupid mongrel just because you took the sword with the wrong side, don’t you think so? A rogue who is not familiar with bows and axes can find himself or herself in an interesting situation at some point of his or her life. A witty mage, who forgot to train better with his weapon master may find his first melee battle his last, without any remorse or excuse. And a warrior, a true warrior, is likely to have some serious (and final) problems with the situation when his or her weapon skills are just bravado. Don’t know how to handle this two-handed ax? Can’t use these one-handed swords? Too bad for you, silly. Monsters and dangerous foes won’t wait. Say farewell to your future adventures… and life!
